Greetings!

Welcome to the Kappa Tau Omega chapter website. We appreciate you taking the time to peruse and learn more about our chapter specifically and Alpha Kappa Alpha as an international organization. For over 113 years, Alpha Kappa Alpha women have utilized advocacy, education, and service to positively impact the world. Even in the midst of a global health pandemic, racial violence, and other challenges, the mission of Service to All Mankind remains, and we are even more dedicated to responding to the evolving needs of our communities.

As we embark upon 45 years of service to Bloomington, Indiana - Monroe County, we are incredibly thankful and recognize the responsibility we have in continuing the work of our beloved charter members. Serving the community is the hallmark of our organization, and we are committed to doing just that. Our chapter includes a diverse membership - embracing sisters who call Indiana home and those who hail from other parts of the country; graduate students; professionals in a number of fields; entrepreneurs; and community leaders/organizers.

Kappa Tau Omega is committed to service through initiatives focused on health and wellness, education, civic engagement, the arts, and other areas along with signature chapter programs. We are excited to serve and look forward to seeing you soon!

Peace and Blessings,

Dr. Gloria L. Howell
